The new Red Kettle Theatre Company sees itself as more adventurous and youthful than other theatre groups.

The first Red Kettle production 'The Gods are Angry, Miss Kerr' is written by Waterford man Jim Nolan. The play tells the story of seven factory workers from the Jute Factory in Waterford and their day trip to the seaside in 1956.
The play debuts at the Theatre Royal in Waterford. The cast includes Clodagh Walsh, Noirin Hennessy, Mary Roche, Frank Coughlan, Denis Lonergan, Jim O'Meara and Aidan Walsh.

Playwright Jim Nolan is a talent on the rise. He has previously had his work ‘The Black Pool’ broadcast on RTÉ. There are now plans for Galway’s Druid Company to stage its production.
