Discussing the Church and modern society at the third session of the Second Vatican Council.

Seán Mac Réamoinn is joined in Saint Peter's Square by a Redemptorist priest Father Francis Murphy and Michael Novak an American author to discuss proceedings at the council.

Among the subjects considered are the Pope's acceptance of Collegiality, the debate on the Blessed Virgin and the need for a doctrine which will aid Roman Catholics and reassure non-Catholics that the church is not devoted in any way to Mariolatry.
