Cinemagic the film and television festival devised for young people launches in Dublin.

The Cinemagic Film and Television festival began in Belfast 18 years ago. Cinemagic hosts master classes, workshops and films for young people interested in working in the media.

The festival was launched by television and radio presenter and X Factor host Dermot O'Leary who has been involved with Cinemagic for the last eight years. The festival began in Belfast in 1989 this is the first year that it has come to Dublin.

Dermot O'Leary commends the work done by Joan Burney Keatings, Chief Executive of the Cinemagic Festival.  

It features a mixture of events from junior jurys to master classes and screenings.

Young actors Robert Sheehan and Chris Rankin are on hand to give advice to even younger actors looking for a break in the world of film.
