Druids celebrate the summer solstice and the longest day of the year on the Hill of Tara in County Meath.
To Druids, to new age travellers and to many others, the Hill of Tara is a magnet particularly at the time of the summer solstice.
Alasdair Jackson spoke to some of those who gathered on the Hill of Tara to mark the occasion. Their participation in the ritual involved forming a circle around a central stone while holding hands. Druid Tony Newman from England describes the energy he gets from being there.
Michael Maguire who has a souvenir shop beside the Hill of Tara, says that there is a growing demand for books and objects on Celtic and Druid themes.
