Long term advocate for the homeless Father Peter McVerry speaks about the invisible nature of the homeless in Ireland.
There are several Irelands all living side by side, some more visible than others.
Fr McVerry describes the hidden or invisible homeless people on the streets of Dublin. The prohibitive price of housing has forced many to live in derelict houses and the backs of cars.
It's a world of loneliness. It's a world of pain. It's a world where there's a lot of suffering.
Fr McVerry is angered by the situation but says that it is this anger that mobilises him to help.
That sense of no value to anybody, of not being cared for by anybody.
