A two year old Pekingese dog called Bunty likes to watch the news on RTÉ television.

Every evening at six o'clock little Bunty settles down in Bray County Wicklow to watch the RTÉ News.

When the Angelus rings, Bunty strolls in and settles down to give the news of the day her undivided attention. Certain presenters and reporters cause the occasional bark or tail wag.

For this report Bunty gets a voice commenting on the news of the day.

Quite frankly boy I think it's a load of old rubbish.

An RTÉ News report broadcast on 19 December 1975. The reporter is Colm Connolly.
