A 17-year-old male has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent after a woman was attacked with a drill in Strabane, Co Tyrone, yesterday.
The teenager has also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and theft.
The 38-year-old victim was left in a critical but stable condition after sustaining a severe head injury in the attack, which happened in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The teenager is expected to appear at Omagh Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
