Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has said that the Government plans to brief the Dáil on contingency measures for all potential outcomes of the UK leaving the EU, including a no-deal Brexit.
It comes after Fianna Fáil’s Brexit spokesperson accused the Government of putting all its eggs in a Brexit deal basket.
Lisa Chambers said that after weeks of asking questions the Government has failed to provide her party with any new details around Brexit planning.
The party wants Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs Simon Coveney to address the Dáil on these plans as quickly as possible.
A spokesperson for the Tánaiste said Ms Chambers is incorrect to claim Ireland and the EU have not been planning to offset the damage of a hard Brexit.
They said that Mr Coveney will, as already committed, give a December contingency update to the Brexit Stakeholders Forum on Thursday.
The spokesperson accused Fianna Fáil of having a patchy attendance record at this forum.
Meanwhile, Labour leader Brendan Howlin warned that there are just 29 Dáil sitting days to Brexit after the New Year to pass any required legislation.

He called on the Taoiseach to publish any proposed legislation now, rather than be inundated afterwards.
Mr Varadkar said the European Commission is publishing its legislative proposals tomorrow and any national legislation has to follow that.
He also told Mr Howlin and Ms Chambers that the Tánaiste would give further briefings to Oireachtas members.
