Man questioned over Clare murder released without charge

A man in his 30s, who had been arrested as part of an investigation into the murder of a man in Co Clare 13 years ago, has been released without charge.

The man was released from Henry Street Garda Station in Limerick this evening.

A file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The man was questioned in relation to the murder of Aidan Kelly, who was shot dead on the night of 10 May 2006 at Blackwater, Ardnacrusha.

He was shot a number of times and a firearm was recovered at the scene.
