A murder investigation is under way in Cork after a post-mortem examination on the body of a man discovered on Saturday morning.
The body was discovered in a house on the Bandon Road in Cork City.
The dead man has been named locally as 55-year-old Paul Jones.
Mr Jones lived alone at the house and was originally from Mayfield.
His body was found by members of his family.
Gardaí have renewed an appeal for information.
They say they are anxious to speak to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the Bandon Road/McCurtain Villas area of Cork City between Monday 2 September and yesterday.
They also appealed to anyone who may have dash cam footage to contact the incident room at Anglesea Street on 021-4522000, the Garda Confidential Line 1800-666-111 or any garda station.
