Appeal for information after body of man found in Cork

An investigation is under way following the discovery of the body of a man in his 50s in a house on  Bandon Road in Cork city.

The man's body was found shortly after 11.30am.

It is understood he was originally from the north side of Cork and the alarm was raised after he had not been seen for a number of days.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area in the past few days, or motorists who may have dash-cam footage from the area, to contact Anglesea Street Garda Station on 021-4522000, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
