Two men have been before a special sitting of the District Court in Clonakilty, Co Cork charged in connection with an incident in which the windows of Dunmanway Garda Station were smashed on Sunday night.
Timmy McCarthy, 23, and 22-year-old Thomas Douglas, both with an address at the Cousane Gap, Dunmanway were charged with criminal damage to the garda station when they were brought before the court this evening.
Mr McCarthy was also charged with four separate counts of dangerous driving, as well as driving without insurance and a driving licence at locations at Cool Mountain on Tuesday.
A third person, 20-year-old Celeste Moat, also of the Cousane Gap, was charged with obstructing a garda investigation when gardaí went to search the house where all three are living early this morning.
Garda Inspector Fergal Foley consented to bail for all three and Judge John King ordered them to return to court on 16 January.
