Bomb Disposal Team called to deal with two IEDs in Limerick

The Army Bomb Disposal Team has made safe two viable Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) in Roxborough, Co Limerick.

The Defence Forces deployed the Army Bomb Disposal Team following a request from gardaí.

The Bomb Disposal Team arrived at the scene at 4.10pm.

A number of houses were evacuated as a precaution and a cordon was put in place for the duration of the operation.

The devices were removed to a secure military installation for further examination and the scene was declared safe at 5.45pm.
