A fire has extensively damaged the seventh floor of the former Revenue Commissioners office block at Sullivan's Quay in Cork.
Five units of Cork City Fire Service fought blaze.
There are no reports of any injuries.
The cause of the fire is not yet known but it is understood it may have started when a mattress went on fire.
The building has been vacant for more than a year, but it has been used by homeless people as a place to sleep.
