Three people have died in separate road crashes in Co Offaly, Co Louth and Co Limerick.
A man in his late 50s died following a crash on the Ballingar Road outside Tullamore, Co Offaly at around 3.20pm this afternoon.
The man was the sole occupant of a van which crashed into a wall.
The man, who is believed to be from the locality, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has been taken to Midlands Regional Hospital in Tullamore where a post-mortem is due to take place.
Elsewhere, a woman died after a crash on the M1 in the early hours of this morning in Co Louth.
She was seriously injured after the car she was driving was in collision with another vehicle between junctions 10 and 11 northbound at around 1.20am.
She was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda and was pronounced dead a short time later.
The driver of the second vehicle was uninjured but brought to hospital as a precaution.
The stretch of road is currently closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and diversions are in place.

Meanwhile, a 76-year-old man died in a suspected hit-and-run incident in Co Limerick.
The man was fatally injured in the collision at Rylands, on the Ballingarry to Rathkeale Road (R518), shortly before 11pm last night.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body was removed to University Hospital Limerick where a post-mortem examination is due to take place.
The road is currently closed to facilitate a forensic collision examination and local diversions are in place.
Gardaí in Newcastlewest are investigating the crash and are appealing for anyone with information in connection with the collision or anyone who may have been on that stretch of road between 10.30pm and 11.15pm to contact them on 069 20650.
