A 17-year-old girl is in a critical condition following a suspected hit-and-run in Kilcoole, Co Wicklow.
She is currently being treated in Beaumont Hospital.
An investigation is under way into the incident which happened on the main street in Kilcoole in the early hours of this morning.
The scene was sealed off for a technical examination but has since reopened.
Gardaí are examining CCTV footage as part of their investigation.
