A male pedestrian has died following a road collision in Co Carlow in the early hours of this morning.
The man, aged in his early 40s, was struck by a car on the R725, Castledermot Road in Tullow, at around 4.30am.
Thomas Traynor Road to Rathbawn Lane has been closed to allow for a forensic examination and gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to contact gardaí at Tullow Garda Station on 059-9151222, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
Local diversions are in place.
