The man was taken to hospital after the blaze broke out at the house in Milltown on Friday morning.
A second man was also treated in hospital.
Gardaí do not believe the cause of the fire is suspicious.
Last Friday, crews from Donnybrook, Rathfarnham and Dolphin's Barn rescued a man from a domestic house fire in #Milltown. Unfortunately, we have since learned of this man's passing in hospital. Our thoughts are with the family, friends and neighbours of this gentleman. RIP pic.twitter.com/zQUjwVZZlR
