Gardaí pursuing 300 lines of inquiry in Ballymun shooting

Gardaí investigating a shooting in Ballymun that caused the deaths of "an innocent young man and a mother-of-six" say they are pursuing 300 lines of inquiry.

Antoinette Corbally, 48, and 30-year-old Clinton Shannon were killed in the attack at a house on Balbutcher Drive on Wednesday.

Two other people were injured during the attack, which is believed to be gang-related.

Gardaí are seeking two gunmen over the attack.

Chief Superintendent Lorraine Wheatley said that post-mortem examinations showed both victims died of multiple gunshot wounds.

She said that tests are being carried out on an automatic machine gun and a handgun found at the scene.

Gardaí are also appealing for information on two cars that were found at the scene - a silver Opel Zafira, registration 08-LS-3101, and a Volkswagen Golf GTI, registration 06-LH-3466.
