Man dies after being stabbed at house in Dublin

 A man in his 60s has died after being stabbed in Crumlin in Dublin.  

Gardaí said emergency services were called to a house on Rutland Grove just after 8pm yesterday.

The man was taken by ambulance to St James's Hospital in Dublin where he was pronounced dead a short time later. 

He has been named locally as Gerard Fortune.

A man in his 30s has been arrested and taken to Crumlin Garda Station.  

A post-mortem examination was due to be carried out today.

Gardaí have appealed for anyone who was in the Rutland Grove area of Dublin 12 between 8pm and 8.15pm to contact them.

In particular, they are appealing for information about the movements of a red Toyota Yaris with a 04-WW registration.

The car was driven from the scene shortly after 8pm and was recovered at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown at around 8.20pm.
