A garda who disclosed confidential information from the force's PULSE computer system has been convicted and fined in the Dublin District Court.
Joseph O'Connor, 38, served as a garda in Dublin for 11 years.
He was convicted of breaching data protection legislation three times in 2011, 2012 and 2013 by disclosing personal and sensitive information.
Judge Michael Walsh said that O'Connor, who resigned earlier this year from An Garda Síochána, had "effectively terminated his own employment and lost his career" as a result of his actions.
The judge fined him a total of €3,000.
