A man has been arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking in relation to a cannabis seizure at Dublin Port last Friday.

Herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of €750,000 was found at the port last week.

The discovery was made during the search of a haulage vehicle that arrived into Ireland carrying farm machinery. The cannabis was hidden inside the machinery.

Follow-up searches were carried out in the Moneygall area, near the border between counties Offaly and Tipperary, and the 52-year-old man was arrested.

He is being held at Nenagh Garda Station.
