Gardaí investigating the Kinahan crime gang have arrested two men in Dublin and seized over €300,000 in cash along with money counting machines.

Officers from the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau raided an apartment in the Beacon South Quarter complex in Sandyford yesterday evening.

A 42-year-old man carrying a bundle of cash into the apartment was arrested.

Gardaí say the apartment was being used as a cash-counting house for the Kinahan crime gang and was under surveillance for some time.

The second man, his 32-year-old brother, was arrested in a follow up search in Clondalkin.

The two men are being detained at Blackrock Garda Station on suspicion of money laundering offences.
