Gardaí are investigating after a man was shot on Railway Street in Dublin city centre this evening.

The shooting incident occurred at Liberty House, Railway Street, Dublin 1, at approximately 9.55pm.

Gardaí said that a man appeared to have received a number of gunshot wounds to the body.

He has been taken to the Mater Hospital where his injuries are described as non-life threatening.

At this stage, detectives do not believe the attack is feud related.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses who may have information or who may have seen anything unusual or suspicious to contact them at Store Garda Station on 01 666 800, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666111 or any garda station.
