Three men have appeared in Dublin District Court on money laundering charges relating to the seizure of €350,000 in cash in the Greenhills area last Saturday.
Glen Byrne, 39, of Belfry Square, Citywest; 40-year-old Philip O'Neill of St James' Road, Greenhills and Paul Carew, 40, of Court Lodge, Saggart, were all charged with money laundering of €350,000 on the Greenhills Road on 24 June 2017.
Evidence was given of the arrest, charge and caution of Mr Byrne and Mr Carew at Crumlin Garda Station by Detective Garda Declan O'Reilly of the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau.
Detective O'Reilly said neither man gave any reply when charged.
Solicitors for the two men sought bail which gardaí objected to. Following a later bail hearing, Judge Michael Walsh remanded the two men to Cloverhill Prison.
They will appear again before the District Court on Thursday.
In relation to the third defendant, Phllip O'Neill, Detective Garda Michael O'Brien told the court he charged Mr O'Neill in Ronanstown Garda Station.
The garda said the defendant made no reply to the charge.
There was no bail application in his case and he was remanded to appear at Cloverhill District Court tomorrow morning.
