Man in court in connection with death of Paul Gallagher

A 29-year-old man has appeared in court charged with failing to provide information to gardaí in relation to the murder of Paul Gallagher.

Mr Gallagher's body was found in a field at Ballymacon, Collon, Co Meath in July 2014.

Sean Barrett, with an address at The Beeches, The Donaghies, Donaghmede, Dublin 13, appeared at Trim District Court.

It is alleged that between 30 June 2015 and 1 July 2015 he failed without reasonable excuse to disclose, as soon as was practicable, to the gardaí information he knew or might believe to be of material assistance in securing the apprehension, prosecution or conviction of another person for Mr Gallagher’s murder between 28 July and 30 July 2014.

Mr Gallagher was 26 years old and originally from Donaghmede.
