A 39-year-old woman has been charged with the murder of 35-year-old Gareth Hutch who was shot dead in Dublin last year.

Gareth Hutch is a nephew of Gerry Hutch and it is believed his killing was part of the Hutch-Kinahan feud.

He was killed outside his home on 24 May 2016 at Avondale House flats, North Cumberland St.

Sgt Enda O'Sullivan said she was arrested this morning at 9.29am. She was brought to Mountjoy Garda Station where she was charged with murder.

She replied: "I didn't do it. I didn't murder anybody".

Her solicitor asked that she be seen by a doctor as she is on a lot of medication. Judge Michael Coghlan agreed to the request.

She has been remanded in custody to appear again on 16 June.
