A 56-year-old woman has died in a road crash outside Ballinasloe, Co Galway.
The car she was driving crashed at Lismanny, Laurencetown, on the Eyrecourt to Ballinasloe Road, at around 10.20am today.
The woman, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her body was removed to University Hospital Galway where a post-mortem examination will take place.
