Three units of Sligo fire brigade and one unit from Leitrim are dealing with a gorse fire at Killery, Ballintogher, Co Sligo.
Sligo County Council has described the fire as extensive, but said that no injuries have been reported
The council said fire crews have managed to protect two houses and were in the process of protecting forestry.

Motorists have been advised to stay away from the Dromahair Road and Slish Wood area, as traffic could impede access for emergency crews.
A Coast Guard helicopter has been mobilised to ascertain the full extent of the fire.
