A 16-year-old boy who was arrested in connection with a hit-and-run incident in Co Kildare that left a woman in a serious condition in hospital has been released from custody.
The incident happened at Canal Bridge, Osberstown, Naas at around 8.25pm on Friday night.
A car had struck a parked car and then hit a female pedestrian.
The 51-year-old woman was taken to Tallaght University Hospital.
The car had failed to stop after the collision.
A file will be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
