Two held as drugs worth €1.8m seized in Dublin

Gardaí in Dublin say they have seized drugs worth an estimated €1.8 million.

Heroin worth up to €1.68 million was discovered during a search of a house on the Neilstown Road at around 5pm this evening by the Ronanstown Drugs Unit.

Diazepam and Xanax tablets with an estimated street value of up to €150,000 and cannabis herb worth an estimated €10,000 was also discovered.

A man in 50s and a woman in her 40s were arrested and they are being detained under drug trafficking legislation.

They can be questioned for up to seven days.
