University Hospital Kerry has said that 21,850 images of the 46,300 to be reviewed have now been checked.

The HSE has said that no further clinical follow up required for these cases is required.

The reviews completed account for more than half of the patients impacted. 

The helpline remains open from 9am-5pm at 1800-742-290.

It is expected to take around six weeks to complete the review.
