A man in his 20s has died in a road crash in Co Louth in the early hours of this morning.
The single-vehicle crash, which happened at around 12.20am, occurred on the Dundalk to Castleblaney Road.
The man, who was the sole occupant of the car, was seriously injured when the car hit a wall at Rathmore, Kilkerly, around 5km outside of Dundalk.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been taken to hospital in Dundalk.
The road is currently closed and gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
