Gardaí have seized a loaded firearm during an operation at Connolly Station in Dublin city centre.
A man in his 20s was arrested in the incident, at about 3.15pm.
He is being detained at Store Street Garda Station.
A woman in her 20s was later arrested at Dublin Airport during follow-up searches.
She is also being held at Store Street Station.
The operation, part of ongoing investigations into organised crime, involved members of the Special Crime Task Force, Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, and the Armed Support Unit.
