A 40-year-old Irishman missing for almost three months has turned up safe in a hospital in England.
Ronnie Maloney disappeared without trace from his home in Castlebar, Co Mayo, on 6 February.
Despite widespread local searches over an 11-week period no trace was found of Mr Maloney.
However a breakthrough came this week when a nurse at a hospital in the UK conducted a search on Google and discovered her patient was on a missing persons' list in Ireland.
Castlebar-based Superintendent Joe McKenna confirmed this afternoon that Mr Maloney, who featured on a missing persons' list on this week's CrimeCall programme on RTÉ, has been found.
