The trial of Solidarity TD Paul Murphy and six other men accused of the false imprisonment of former tánaiste Joan Burton has been adjourned until tomorrow after one juror was discharged.
Judge Melanie Greally told the jury there had been a development and one juror needed to be replaced.
A new juror will be selected tomorrow.
The seven are also accused of falsely imprisoning Ms Burton's adviser, Karen O'Connell, during a water charges protest in Jobstown in Dublin in November 2014.
Mr Murphy, Dublin councillors Kieran Mahon and Michael Murphy, and four other men deny the charges.
The jury was selected yesterday. The trial is expected to last at least six weeks.
The offences are alleged to have occurred on 15 November 2014, as the then tánaiste was attending a graduation ceremony at An Cosán Centre in Jobstown, Tallaght.
All seven defendants have pleaded not guilty to falsely imprisoning Ms Burton and Ms O'Connell.
The defendants are Paul Murphy, who is 33 and from Kingswood Heights in Tallaght, Councillor Michael Murphy, 53, and from Whitechurch Way in Ballyboden in Dublin, Councillor Kieran Mahon, 39, from Bolbrook Grove in Tallaght, 34-year-old Scott Masterson, from Carrigmore Drive in Tallaght, 71-year-old Frank Donaghy from Alpine Rise in Tallaght, 46-year-old Michael Banks from Brookview Green in Tallaght and 50-year-old Ken Purcell from Kiltalown Green, also in Tallaght.
