A cyclist in his 40s has died after a collision in Dublin last night.

The man was travelling on Patrick’s Street near Christchurch when he was in a collision with a car.

He was taken to St James’s Hospital by ambulance, but was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the car was not injured.

Gardaí conducted a forensic examination of the site last night and an investigation is under way.
