The Army Bomb Disposal unit has made safe three suspected improvised explosive devices found in Naas, Co Kildare.
A section of the Naas to Newbridge road was closed after the devices were discovered in a car.
The road at the Bundle of Sticks roundabout was closed and very heavy traffic was reported in the area for a period.
The Bomb Disposal unit arrived at the scene at 4.15pm and it was declared safe at 9.30pm.
The devices have been removed for further examination.
