Naughten discharged from hospital after collision

Minister for Communications Denis Naughten has been discharged from hospital in Galway after he received treatment for injuries sustained when he was struck by a car while out cycling earlier this week.

Mr Naughten was thrown from his bicycle and hurt his back when he was hit by a car on the Roscommon to Fuerty Road at lunchtime on Monday.

His injuries were not serious and he is now believed to be recuperating at home.
