A motorcyclist has died in a road crash in Dublin.

The man, who was in his mid-20s, was pronounced dead at the scene after his motorbike crashed into a roundabout on the N81 heading toward the M50 at around 2.15am.

No other vehicles were involved.

The road was closed for a technical examination but has since reopened.
