Three people have died after separate road crashes in Dublin, Limerick and Roscommon.
A male pedestrian believed to be in his 70s died following a collision with a car on the N5 at Frenchpark, Co Roscommon at 5.15pm. The male driver of the car was not injured.
The N5 is closed between Frenchpark and Ballaghadrreen pending the arrival of the Garda Forensic Collision Investigation team. Diversions are in place.
Earlier a motorcyclist in his late teens was involved in a crash with a car in Coolock in north Dublin.
The crash happened at around 1.20pm at the junction of Killbarron Park and Cromcastle Road.
The driver of the motorbike was brought to Beaumont Hospital and was later pronounced dead.
The female driver of the car was also brought to Beaumont Hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries.

Elsewhere, a man has died after being struck by a lorry in Co Limerick yesterday evening.
The pedestrian, who is in his mid 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene on Lord Edward Street in Kilmallock.
The incident happened at around 5.15pm.
The man's body was taken to University Hospital Limerick, where a post-mortem examination is due to take place.
Nobody else was injured in the incident and no arrests have been made.
The scene was preserved for examination and the road has since reopened.
