Two men die in separate road crashes in Dublin and Kilkenny

Two men have died in separate road crashes in counties Dublin and Kilkenny.

A motorcyclist died after his motorbike was in collision with a car and a van at York Road in Dún Laoghaire at around 11.45am.

The man was taken to St Vincent's University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A post-mortem examination is expected to take place.

Elsewhere, a man died after a crash between a car and a truck in Co Kilkenny.

The collision happened at Garryduff Crossroad in Paulstown at around 7.30am.

The 50-year-old driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck driver was taken to St Luke's General Hospital, but his injuries are not life-threatening.
