A man has died following a building site accident in Co Laois.
The man, who was in his 50s, was working on a property in Portarlington when he suffered injuries in a structural collapse at about 10.30am.
He was taken to Midland Regional Hospital, Portlaoise, where he was later pronounced dead.
A garda spokesman said the man sustained injuries when a roof section and walls collapsed in the building.
