Apple is reported to be proceeding with the creation of 1,000 new jobs at Hollyhill in Cork.
The news was reported by local media this evening.
Apple had applied for planning permission to expand its Cork plant, despite some local opposition.
This permission has now been approved and will bring the Apple workforce up to 6,000.
