A 91-year-man has died following a road crash in Co Meath.

The man was seriously injured when his car collided with a lorry at Pace near Dunboyne at around 1pm yesterday.

He was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown where he was later pronounced dead.

The lorry driver was treated for minor injuries.

The road was closed for a technical examination but has since reopened.
