A woman has died in a motorcycle crash in Co Kildare, after her vehicle struck the central divide on the M9 motorway.
The incident happened between junction 1 and junction 2 southbound at about 8.30pm last night.
The woman, who was in her 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Nobody else was injured in the crash.
Gardaí in Kildare are appealing to witnesses to the collision to contact them at Kildare Garda Station on 045-527730, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
