A renewed appeal has been issued to help trace a man missing from Wicklow since July 2015.

Barry Corcoran, 39, was last seen on the morning of 6 July 2015 when he left his home in Wicklow town and went to the post office on Main Street at around 9.35am and carried out some personal business there before leaving a few minutes later.

The father-of-one travelled from Wicklow town on the 133 Bus Éireann bus from outside Flannery’s Shop to Dublin city centre.

It is believed he initially went to the Fitzgibbon Street area to meet a friend at a gym before travelling on the Luas red line to the Kylemore stop on the Naas Road, arriving there at around 2pm.

Gardaí say Mr Corcoran would not have been familiar with this area of the city but got directions from his friend and arranged to meet him at the Luas stop.

Mr Corcoran bought some things in a local shop on Kylemore Road at 2.30pm and again at 6.45pm and later visited friends on Cremona Road in Ballyfermot.

He was last seen on Cremona Road on the night of 6 July.

Mr Corcoran’s family and friends have not heard from him since then and they are very concerned for his safety and well-being.

Mr Corcoran is described as 1.80m (5'11") tall and of thin build. He has short, grey hair and blue eyes and has an old scar on the bridge of his nose.

He walks with a slight "shuffle" having injured his hip in an accident a number of years ago.

When last seen Mr Corcoran was wearing a dark rain jacket, blue jeans and black Puma trainers.

Anyone who may have seen or been in contact with Mr Corcoran on Monday 6 July 2015 or at any time after 6 July, is asked to contact Ballyfermot Garda Station at 01 666 7200, Wicklow Garda Station at 0404 60140 or Crimestoppers at 1800 25 00 25.
