Man dies in roof collapse on Co Cork farm

A 28-year-old man has died following a collapse on a farm in Macroom in Co Cork.

It is understood the man was standing on the roof of a shed when it collapsed underneath him.

It is believed the man was filming the silage harvest.

Emergency services were called to the farm in Toames, near Macroom at around 3pm this afternoon but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigations are under way by gardaí and the Health & Safety Authority.
