Bangladeshi blogger gets death threat
Bangladesh's best-known blogger said he has become the latest secular activist threatened with murder, a warning which he suspected was linked to his recent criticism of the government.
On Saturday an English professor was hacked to death by suspected Islamist militants, the latest in a series of murders of secular bloggers and liberal activists since last year.
Blogger Imran Sarker, who led major protests by secular activists in 2013 against Islamist leaders, said he had received a phone call yesterday warning that he would be killed "very soon".
But Mr Sarker claimed the threat was probably connected to his opposition to the government's alleged crackdown on dissent, rather than the offence he caused to Islamic extremists.
Warning over Zika
The World Health Organization has warned of the potential for a "marked increase" in the number of Zika infections in the coming months, and its spread to new parts of the world.

With mosquito season arriving in Europe, "the possibility of local transmission combined with the likelihood of onward sexual transmission could see a marked increase in the number of people with Zika and related complications," she said.
Mexico blast toll rises to 32
Rescuers have recovered the bodies of four more people killed after a petrochemical plant explosion that spewed a toxic cloud into the air last week, bringing the toll to 32.
The bodies were found yesterday in one of the most difficult areas to access at the plant in the town of Coatzacoalcos, in the eastern state of Veracruz.
DNA tests will be needed to identify the bodies of six of the people killed in last Wednesday's blast at the plant co-owned by state oil company Pemex and a private company, Mexichem.
More than 100 people were also injured in the explosion, though most have already been discharged from hospital, authorities said.
