Several hundred people have been attended a Month's Minds mass in Derry this evening to remember the victims of the Buncrana pier tragedy.

Amongst those attending the service at the Holy Family Church was Louise James, whose partner Sean McGrotty, her sons Evan and Mark, mother Ruth Daniels and sister Jodie Lee Daniels all died when their car slipped into Lough Swilly.

Davitt Walsh, the man who swam out and saved the only survivor of the tragedy, Louise James’ four-month-old baby Rioghanagh-Ann, was in attendance.

Stormont First Minister Martin McGuinness also attended the service.
